CROCHET AMIGURUMI PATTERN
Ever find yourself using quotes like ‘You remind me of the babe!’ and ‘in 9 hours and 23 minutes, you’ll be mine!’ then this may just be the crochet pattern for you…
May I introduce to you, Jareth – The Goblin King. Inspired by the cult movie classic from the 1980’s, The Labyrinth. And now you can own a clone of your very own, forever. And let’s face it, that’s not long at all… :-p
The iconic character is played by none other than David Bowie himself and hosts an array of outlandish outfits. We were pretty torn as to which one to try to recreate in crochet form. but here it is – frilly shirt, tight pants and black vest – as seen in multiple scenes, but most memorably the Magic Dance number.
And for anyone looking for a nostalgic trip down memory lane, here’s the clip: click HERE.
The pattern includes instructions for the doll as shown, but also a couple of optional accessories : his necklace and cane.
Jareth is designed to hold his own weight and stand up by himself. The arms in the doll are hollow so there is also the option to insert hobby wire or pipe-cleaners to make them poseable.
You can see more pictures of each piece and more details on the pattern requirements on The Labyrinth – Jareth, The Goblin King page on the blog (click HERE) or in our Ravelry store (click HERE).
