*Ch3, slip st into the first of the 3 ch stitches* Repeat 5 times to create the five points of the star.
Fasten off. Tie the starting and end tail yarns together and pull tight to close the centre of the star.

ASSEMBLY

Start by attaching the snow approximately 2 rows above the heel, making sure that it is centred.

You can play about with the positioning of the trees. To build up the snowy scene as pictured, follow these steps:

There are 4 ‘bumps’ in your snow. Working from the left, attach the medium tree at the 2nd bump, and one of the small trees in the 4th bump.

Then attach the remaining small tree on the 1st bump and the big tree on the 3rd bump.

The trees will now be layered up giving it some depth.

Attach the star at the top of the big tree.

FINISHING TOUCHES

To finish off, you can embellish how you wish! Go mad with glitter, beads, sequins… or embroidery to really personalise it!

To complete the look as shown in the picture, simply using white yarn stitch some stars/snowflakes with simple crosses above the scene.

Use some contrasting yarn (gold glitter yarn in the picture) to decorate the big tree.

And that’s it, your Snowy Night Christmas stocking is complete!
