Let’s Get Started!
HATS
HEADBAND
This is probably the simplest of all the hat accessories. Using your chosen colour yarn, working in continuous rounds
Rnd 1 : Chain 49. Working into the 2nd stitch from the hook, sc in each stitch along. (48)
Fasten off.
Wrap the headband around the top of the figure, just covering the top of the visor, and fix into position where they meet at the back. Leave the excess ends loose so they hang, but make sure they are an even length before fixing the headband in place.

BANANA PEEL
You can choose to make this all yellow or add some of the detailing.
Using brown yarn, working in continuous rounds.
Rnd 1 : Work 4sc into a magic ring (4)
Rnd 2 : *sc in the next stitch, 2sc* Repeat 2 times (6)
Rnd 3 : *sc in the next 2 stitches, 2sc* Repeat 2 times (8)
Switch to yellow yarn
Rnd 4-7 : sc in each stitch around (8)
Rnd 8 : *Slip st into the next stitch, chain 7. Working into the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each stitch along (6) then sc in the next stitch around Rnd 7 to secure to the base of the banana skin* Repeat 4 times.
Fasten off.
If you want to add some extra detailing you can use light weight brown yarn or embriodery thread to create the brown fleck marks around the peeled ends.
Pull the starting tail yarn back through the top of the banana peel and cut to length to create the stalk. To prevent the ends from fraying, use some clear hobby glue or nail varnish.

SHORT HAT
Using your chosen colour yarn, working in continuous rounds.
Rnd 1 : Work 6sc into a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2 : 2sc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 3 : *sc in the next stitch, 2sc* Repeat 6 times (18)
Rnd 4 : scBLO in each stitch around (18)
Rnd 5-7 : sc in each stitch around (18)
Rnd 8 : *Hdc FLO in the next stitch, 2Hdc* Repeat 9 times (27)
Fasten off.

TOP HAT
Using your chosen colour yarn, working in continuous rounds.
Rnd 1 : Work 6sc into a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2 : 2sc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 3 : *sc in the next stitch, 2sc* Repeat 6 times (18)
Rnd 4 : scBLO in each stitch around (18)
Rnd 5-8 : sc in each stitch around (18)
Rnd 8 : *scFLO in the next 2 stitches, scFLO* Repeat 6 times (24)
Rnd 9 : *sc in the next 3 stitches, 2sc* Repeat 6 times (30)
Fasten off.
Using your chosen contrast colour yarn, tightly chain 23 stitches and fasten off. Wrap around the base of the hat and fix into position.

MASKS
PLAGUE DOCTOR MASK
Using black yarn, working in continuous rounds.
Rnd 1: Work 6sc into a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: sc in each stitch around (6)
Rnd 3: sc in the next 2 stitches, 2sc, 2sc, sc in the remaining 2 stitches (8)
Rnd 4 : sc in each stitch around (8)
Rnd 5 : sc in the next 3 stitches, 2sc, 2sc, sc in the remaining 3 stitches (10)
Rnd 6 : sc in the next 4 stitches, 2sc, 2sc, sc in the remaining 4 stitches (12)
Rnd 7 : *sc in the next stitch, 2sc* Repeat 6 times (18)
Fasten off.
Once complete, attach to the top of the body where the visor would normally be. With the increased stitches all to one side you will notice the cone is wider on one side than the other. Orientate the wider side to the 6 o’clock position to achieve the correct shape.
To create the eyes, use small red circles of red felt and glue a single length of black yarn around their circumference. Attach to either side, slightly above the mask.
OUTFITS
LAB COAT
Using white yarn, working in ROWS. Chain 1 and turn at the end of each round.
Rnd 1 : Chain 31. Working into the 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each stitch along (30)
Rnd 2-6 : sc in each stitch along (30)
Rnd 7 : sc2tog, sc in the next 26 stitches, sc2tog (28)
Rnd 8 : sc2tog, sc in the next 24 stitches, sc2tog (26)
Fasten off.
To create the lapels:
Chain 6. Working into the 2nd ch from the hook, hdc in each of the first 2 stitches, sc in each of the next 2 stitches, slip st in the last stitch (5)
Fasten off. Make two.
Wrap the lab coat around the figure and secure into position. Add a lap to either side at the front.
The back pack is then added to the back AFTER fixing the lab coat. The back pack will overlap the top of the lab coat and the main body of the figure.
