Cast on to the hook as normal and work the following Rnd of stitches into the front loops only (FLO):

BULB SECTIONS
Using a yarn needle and matching dark green yarn:
Starting from the base, thread the yarn through one of the gaps between the leaves (the slip st) and then through the top of the bulb. When inserting the needle into the top ensure it exits at the point where you started. Pull tight and this will form one of the lobs of the bulb. Repeat for each of the gaps between the leaves.

ASSEMBLY
Feet
Attach the feet between Rnds 3 and 4 of the body, the same distance apart as the eyes on the face.
Bulb
Attach the bulb to the centre back of the body.
Arms
Attach the arms to the front or sides of the body. The tops of the arm should be approx. 2 rows below where the body stops and the head begins.
You can play around with the positioning depending on how you want Bulbasaur posed.
Ears
Attach the ears to the top of the head, slightly off to each side, roughly in line with the tops of the arms.
Markings
Using green felt or green embroidery thread/yarn create the markings on his face. Bulbasaur has markings all over his body, so add as many or as few as you wish.
And that’s it! Bulbasaur is complete!
