CROCHET AMIGURUMI PATTERN

Inspired by the 80’s cult classic pesky poltergeist, may I introduce to you, Beetlejuice.

The pattern includes his iconic suit, tie and wild green hair. He is also designed to stand up, unaided, without the need for a support.

The pattern has been worked up in aran weight cotton yarn (Brand: Drops Paris), but you could substitute for a different weight/yarn type as long as you change the hook size accordingly.

But first a few details:

Terminology: The pattern is written in English, in standard US terminology

Measurements: The finished piece measures approx. 22cm tall

What you’ll need:

Aran weight yarn (Drops Paris) – black, white, beige, green and scraps of purple
3.5 mm crochet hook
9 mm safety eyes (x2)
Stuffing material
Stitch markers and pins (optional)
Yarn needle
Scrap of carboard (optional, for creating the hair)

Stitch Knowledge Required:

Magic ring
Chain stitch
Single crochet stitch
Half double crochet
Double crochet
Back loops only
Front loops only
Single crochet decrease (sc2tog)
Invisible decrease
