Santa and Friends

CROCHET AMIGURUMI PATTERN

Even Santa needs his friends around him at Christmas! So here is our pattern for Santa, Mrs Claus and an assortment of their adorable friends! Each figure has it’s own unique set of accessories and style.

The pattern has been worked up in aran weight cotton yarn (Brand: Drops Paris), but you could substitute for a different weight/yarn type as long as you change the hook size accordingly.

The colours shown are just a guide- you can go crazy with different colours (especially for the accessories) and introduce some candy stripes and all sorts.

But first a few details:

Terminology: The pattern is written in English, in standard US terminology

Measurements: The finished characters measure approx. 11cm tall (plus hats 19cm). You can of course make them smaller by using a lighter weight yarn and smaller hook size.


What you’ll need:

  • Aran weight yarn (Drops Paris) – green, red, white, black, brown, rust brown and beige
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook
  • 9 mm safety eyes (x12)
  • 7mm safety eyes (x2)
  • Stuffing material
  • Stitch markers and pins (optional)
  • Yarn needle
  • Fabric glue (optional)

Stitch Knowledge Required:

  • Magic ring
  • Chain stitch
  • Single crochet stitch
  • Half double crochet
  • Back loops only
  • Front loops only
  • Single crochet decrease (sc2tog)
  • Invisible decrease
