Studio Ghibli : Chihiro

CROCHET AMIGURUMI PATTERN

Inspired by one of the most iconic heroines from the Studio Ghibli movie Spirited Away, may I introduce to you Chihiro.

The pattern has been worked up in aran weight cotton yarn (Brand: Drops Paris), but you could substitute for a different weight/yarn type as long as you change the hook size accordingly.

But first a few details:

Terminology: The pattern is written in English, in standard US terminology

Measurements: The finished piece measures approx. 22cm tall (23 if you include the ponytail!)

What you’ll need:

• Aran weight yarn (Drops Paris) – white, coral pink, beige, yellow, brown and dark red.
• 3.5 mm crochet hook
• 9 mm safety eyes (x2)
• Stuffing material
• Stitch markers and pins (optional)
• Yarn needle

Stitch Knowledge Required:

• Magic ring
• Chain stitch
• Single crochet stitch
• Half double crochet
• Back loops only
• Front loops only
• Single crochet decrease (sc2tog)
• Invisible decrease
