FREE CROCHET AMIGURUMI PATTERN

About this pattern:
This cute and simple spooky pal will brighten up any pumpkin patch!
The materials required are listed below. The yarn used to make him as pictured was Drops Safran (cotton) yarn in white, with a scrap of black felt for the mouth.
Materials:
- Sports Weight Yarn (white)
- 2.5mm crochet hook
- Scraps of black felt for mouth
- Pink yarn or embroidery thread for cheeks
- Stitch markers and pins
- Yarn needle
- Stuffing
Stitch Abbreviations:
Sc = Single crochet
Slip st = Slip stitch
Invdec = invisible decrease
Sc2tog = single crochet decrease
Ch = Chain stitch
** = a repeating stitch pattern
Measurements:
The completed pieces measure approx. 11 cm tall.

GHOST
HEAD
Using white yarn, working in continuous rounds
Rnd 1 : Work 6sc into a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2 : 2sc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 3: *sc, 2sc* Repeat 6 times (18)
Rnd 4: sc in each stitch around (18)
Rnd 5: *sc in next 2 stitches, 2sc* Repeat 6 times (24)
Rnd 6: sc in each stitch around (24)
Rnd 7: *sc in next 3 stitches, 2sc* Repeat 6 times (30)
Rnd 8: *sc in next 4 stitches, 2sc* Repeat 6 times (36)
Rnd 9-13: sc in each stitch around (36)
Rnd 14: *sc in next 4 stitches, invdec* Repeat 6 times (30)
Rnd 15: *sc in next 3 stitches, invdec* Repeat 6 times (24)
Rnd 16: *sc in next 2 stitches, invdec* Repeat 6 times (18)
Rnd 17: *sc FLO in next 2 stitches, 2sc FLO* Repeat 6 times (24)
Rnd 18: *sc in next 3 stitches, 2sc* Repeat 6 times (30)

If you are using safety eyes, insert them before continuing. The eyes are inserted between Rnds 11and 12, approx. 6 stitches apart. You can also add a few stitches of pink yarn to create the rosy cheeks.
Stuff the head and pinch the tip.


BODY
Continuing with white yarn…
Rnd 20-24: sc in each stitch around (36)
Rnd 25: *sc in next 4 stitches, invdec* Repeat 6 times (30)
Rnd 26: sc in each stitch around (30)
Rnd 27: *sc in next 3 stitches, invdec* Repeat 6 times (24)
Start to stuff the body and continue stuffing as the decreases continue.
Rnd 28: *sc BLO in next 2 stitches, sc2tog BLO* Repeat 6 times (18)
Rnd 29: *sc in next stitch, sc2tog* Repeat 6 times (12)
Rnd 30: sc2tog in each stitch around (6)
Work decreases to a close and fasten off.
SCARF
Using contrasting yarn, working in a row
Rnd 1: Ch40 stitches. Working into the 2nd ch stitch from the hook, Slip st in each stitch along (39)
Fasten off and wrap around the neck of the ghost. Fix into position.
FINISH
To finish, just add a mouth using a scrap of black felt or embroider one on.
